Midnight Descent - The Summoning
Awesome old school style East Coast riffage! For fans of Mercyful Fate, Angel Witch, Manilla Road and Pagan Altar.
All of those aforementioned bands also helped inspire me to design this album cover for such a great EP. The hooded figure, the muted colors and eerie background and atmosphere were all heavily influenced by old, evil heavy metal records.
Pictured above is the original rough draft, and moving onwards to the left are progress/transitional photos. some points, curves and other sorts of unsettling shapes were added to give the album cover a more grim, ritualistic scene, while portraying no sort of imagery referencing any particular belief/ideology.
